Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd. as a Head Up Display Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the development of Infotainment hardware and lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commodity Ownership: Develop and implement 5-year commodity strategies, manage budgets, resources, and timelines to deliver required functionality.
  • Engineering: Design and engineer robust component hardware using standard engineering toolsets, ensure packaging activities meet performance and customer satisfaction requirements.
  • Delivery: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver components to quality, cost, weight, function, and timing (QCWFT) requirements, ensure commodity hardware supports feature plans.
  • Validation: Create and manage virtual and physical design verification plans, ensure effective report writing and robust resolution of concerns and testing issues.
Requirements
  • Proven record of delivering Infotainment hardware, including quality, cost, function, weight, and timing.
  • Experience with delivering Infotainment or similar commodities.
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive development systems, including specification, releasing, concerns, containments, gateways, and sign-off documentation.
  • Experience of leading cross-functional teams, including complex issue resolution.
  • Supplier management experience.
  • Complete knowledge of Product Development cycle from concept to launch completion.
  • Excellent technical engineering background and comprehensive knowledge of using calculation and analysis to drive design.
  • Knowledge of automotive quality tools and processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes to create electronic modules.
  • Requirements writing, including use of software tools such as Polarion, Doors, and Jama.
  • Knowledge of CAN tools to diagnose vehicle behavior and faults.
