Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at a respite service in Staveley. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their safety, well-being, and dignity.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver person-centered care, following individual care plans to meet the unique needs of our residents.
- Undertake personal care duties, including observation checks to maintain residents' hygiene and safety.
- Participate in activities to engage and entertain residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
- Ensure the safe use of moving and handling equipment, assisting residents with mobility and transfers.
- Oversee the health and safety of residents under your care, adhering to our service's policies and procedures.
- Contribute to a clean and safe environment, following cleaning rotas and safety protocols.
We offer flexible shift options, with two main shifts: 07:00 to 14:30 and 14:30 to 22:00. Shifts are available every week, on various days between Monday and Sunday.
Pay and BenefitsOur competitive pay rate is £11.44 per hour for hours worked between 07:00 to 19:00, and £15.22 per hour for hours worked between 19:00 to 07:00.
Requirements- Hold a minimum of 12 months paid UK work experience in a care home or nursing home setting.
- Hold in-date mandatory training certificates, including Practical Moving and Handling Training.
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 4 months or registered on the Update Service.
- Provide 2 years of professional referencing, including 1 from your most recent employer.
- Have a full, up-to-date CV with a minimum of 5 years of employment history.
