Senior Veterinary Nurse Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Nurse to take on the challenging role of Head Veterinary Nurse at our progressive veterinary practice in Halesowen, West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to lead our nursing team and make a real difference in the lives of animals.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership and management experience within a veterinary setting, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality patient care and providing exceptional service to clients.
About the Job:
As Head Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of veterinary nurses, ensuring that they receive the necessary training and support to deliver the highest standards of care. You will also be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the nursing department, including scheduling, staffing, and budgeting.
This is a full-time role, with no out-of-hours work and only 1 in 4 Saturdays, allowing for a good work-life balance. Our state-of-the-art facilities include laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, dental x-ray, and more, making this an exciting and challenging environment for any veterinary professional.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the nursing team, providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback as needed
* Coordinate daily operations of the nursing department, including scheduling, staffing, and budgeting
* Ensure that all staff members receive the necessary training and support to deliver high-quality patient care
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience as a veterinary nurse, preferably in a leadership or management role
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and patients
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
