Nursery Nurse Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Nurse to join our team at Nursery People. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment for children and supporting the team in providing high-quality childcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with parents and carers to cater for individual children's needs, observing, planning, and evaluating development activities.
- Support the Room Leader in ensuring that all nursery initiatives are fully embedded into the room, following and implementing the EYFS at all times.
- Respond to parent queries or requests in a polite and professional manner, seeking help or signposting parents to the correct person within the nursery as appropriate.
- Support with new staff induction into the room, to ensure consistency of care.
- Take good care and responsibility for equipment and furniture in the room, ensuring that any issues are flagged appropriately.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a day nursery.
- Relevant Early Years qualification – Level 3.
- Understanding and working knowledge of the EYFS.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements, safeguarding, and paediatric first aid.
- Valid DBS check.
