About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Regulatory Housing Specialist to join our Private Sector Housing Team in Reading. As part of this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and well-maintained housing across the area, with a focus on houses in multiple occupation (HMOs). Your expertise in addressing housing complaints and collaborating with partners to improve property conditions will be invaluable to us.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and investigations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Advise landlords and tenants on their legal obligations and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Work closely with partners to implement innovative solutions that enhance housing standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies for improving property conditions.

Requirements:

  • EHRB Registration (Environmental Health Practitioners).
  • Strong knowledge of the Private Rented Sector and/or a regulatory environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
  • A valid driving licence and vehicle for site inspections.
