Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Site Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Site Superintendent in planning, organizing, and coordinating daily construction activities.
  • Collaborate with the project team to understand project goals, specifications, and timeline requirements.
  • Ensure the site office has proper first aid and eye wash station.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, workers, and vendors to ensure adherence to project plans and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to verify work quality, compliance with specifications, and adherence to industry standards.
  • Provide regular updates to the site Superintendent regarding project progress, challenges, and accomplishments.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of previous experience in ICI construction or related field, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and terminology.
  • In-depth understanding, knowledge, and implementation of the Ontario occupational health and safety act as it relates to each project.
  • Gold Seal Certified an asset.
  • LEED Accredited an asset.
  • Computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with E-Builder Project Management Software.
  • Knowledge of Procore and BIM software is an asset.
Working Conditions and Environment
  • Primary work location on project sites.
  • Travel to construction sites is anticipated.
  • Exposure to construction work site environment in all seasons.
