Ophthalmology Technician Role

At Nuffield Health, we are seeking an experienced Ophthalmology Technician to join our team at Cambridge Hospital. The successful candidate will provide support to our Ophthalmic Consultants in performing tests and running clinics.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage patient clinics and perform HFA, I-profiler, and OCT testing on patients.
  • Assist with pre-operative assessment of patients prior to cataract surgery.
  • Ensure Medical Records are kept as per protocol.
  • Ensure privacy, dignity, and safeguarding of all patients.
  • Checking VA and carrying out visual field testing, biometry, OCT scanning, and corneal topography.

Requirements


  • Experience/competency in the testing of patients with specialised ophthalmic equipment.
  • Experience in health and social care.
  • Preferably have an NVQ qualification.
