SEND Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a secondary school in Islington.The successful applicant will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with a range of needs, including Autism and behavioral challenges.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing academic, social, and emotional support to students with SEND
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Developing and implementing individualized support plans for students
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and support provided


Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEND
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support to students
