Market Development Manager Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Market Development Manager to drive the growth and success of Sika's Tunneling & Mining Vertical Market strategy across the Area Europe North.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for implementing the EMEA Tunneling & Mining vertical Market strategy in your area, supporting countries by implementing and rolling out a roadmap in different areas/countries. You will also assist in increasing sales through project acquisition and relationship building with new and existing customers, positioning Sika as a reliable partner in the tunnelling and Mining sector.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor or Master's degree in Chemical or Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar education with extensive underground experience with TBM processes, including all related products and technologies, particularly in injections. You will have proven experience in executing complex projects as part of a matrix organization and working with multi-cultural, remote teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement the EMEA Tunneling & Mining vertical Market strategy in your area.
  • Support countries by implementing and rolling out a roadmap in different areas/countries.
  • Assist in increasing sales through project acquisition and relationship building with new and existing customers.
  • Position Sika as a reliable partner in the tunnelling and Mining sector.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Chemical or Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar education.
  • Extensive underground experience with TBM processes, including all related products and technologies, particularly in injections.
  • Proven experience in executing complex projects as part of a matrix organization.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to motivate and engage others.
