Job Title: Senior Geoscientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geoscientist to join our team at Geo-4D, a leading independent geoscience consultancy and survey specialist. The successful candidate will support both our Offshore Geoconsultancy and Geodata Acquisition departments, providing technical, commercial, and strategic input to the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offshore Consultancy: Review, process, and interpret offshore geophysical and geotechnical datasets, develop engineering geological desk studies and ground models, and conduct geotechnical parameterization.
  • Survey: Prepare pre-operational documentation, acquire UAV-based photogrammetry, LiDAR, and magnetometer datasets, conduct geological mapping, and process datasets to compile operational, factual, and interpretative reports.
  • Tendering: Assist with technical and commercial tenders, proposal documents, and cost/time/resources breakdowns, and liaise with clients to determine project requirements.
  • Team Supervision and Project Management: Provide technical supervision of a small team of geoscientists on a project-by-project basis, perform project management duties, including deadline management, financial tracking, and budget management.
Requirements:
  • Earth sciences bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 4 years geoscience industry experience
  • Experience in geophysical data processing and interpretation, offshore geophysical survey operations, and collation of publicly available geodata
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS software, technical report writing, and good communication skills
