Geo-4D Overview
Geo-4D is an independent geoscience consultancy and survey specialist based in Faringdon, Oxfordshire, UK, with a focus on offshore geoscience and geodata acquisition, processing and interpretation.
Our geoscience consultancy department conducts analysis and integration of geophysical, geotechnical and geological datasets to characterise site conditions and hazards, largely within the offshore renewable energy and interconnector cable sectors.
Our geodata acquisition department specialises in using novel techniques to characterise complex onshore, intertidal and shallow marine sites.
The Position
Geo-4D is looking for a Senior Geoscientist to join the team. The role will support both the Offshore Geoconsultancy and Geodata Acquisition departments, providing a mixture of technical, commercial and strategic input to the business.
The Geodata Acquisition department utilises uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs), uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs) and other geophysical/survey techniques to characterise sites, largely focusing on cable landfalls.
The Offshore Geoconsultancy department principally supports offshore renewable projects, reviewing, interpreting and integrating multidisciplinary datasets to assess and report on site conditions and site risk. The work encompasses a variety of project stages, including desktop studies, geophysical and geotechnical survey design and oversight, geophysical and geotechnical data review and interpretation, ground modelling, cable burial risk assessment and technical reporting.
The Senior Geoscientist will also be required to perform project management duties, support business development, assist with tendering, and support day-to-day running of the organisation, in additional to the technical project-based responsibilities. Training will be provided as required.
The role will be largely office-based, but with the option to lead or support site survey operations and conduct project client representation services.
