We're seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team at Kier Group, working on projects for our Environment Business Unit. This role is based in the Midlands with travel across the UK.
As a key member of our team, you'll support the delivery of sustainable projects through all available avenues. You'll provide guidance and support to project delivery teams to maintain legal compliance and support delivery of the Kier Building for a Sustainable World Framework.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for project and design teams concerning environmental management compliance and sustainability
- Assisting/leading the development of the projects/contract Environmental Management System
- Identifying and supporting project teams to obtain and comply with regulatory and client requirements
- Conducting environmental audits and site inspections and supporting third-party audits
- Attending client meetings and industry forums as required and completing Board Reports on activity, inspection findings, incidents, action plan items, and KPIs
This role is ideal for individuals with demonstrable experience in environmental management on construction projects, assessing environmental aspects and impacts, developing mitigation proposals, and implementing environmental management procedures to avoid or reduce environmental effects.
