Salary and Benefits

The annual salary for this role is £34,029 - £41,360, with a competitive benefits package including a generous joining bonus of £5,000 over three years. You will also receive 25 days of annual leave, increasing with service, as well as options to buy or sell leave.

Responsibilities

">

As a Children’s Hospice Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing effective patient care in various settings
  • Planning and reviewing care in collaboration with families
  • Acting as an advocate for children and their families
  • Maintaining fun and compassion in care provision
  • Following safeguarding policies
  • Promoting effective communication and professional documentation
  • Administering medications and maintaining nutritional status
  • Participating in governance activities and delivering training

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • Registration as a Sick Children’s Nurse or Registered Nurse (Child Branch)
  • Relevant post-qualification experience at Band 5 level
  • Experience in nursing children with life-limiting conditions
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • A positive attitude and passion for making a difference
