Business Development Manager

We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team at Workstreet. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and identifying new opportunities in the software market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively prospect to drive pipeline growth and build relationships with key and new accounts at Executive level.
  • Focus on new business in new named accounts (approx. 80%) as well as some responsibility for managing new business within our existing customers (approx. 20%).
  • Raise your professional profile through social media and digital platforms, and attend industry trade shows to maximize networking opportunities.
  • Contribute to company presence as an industry expert by helping the marketing team create and produce industry and solution-led blogs or write-ups which drive campaigns leading to new client acquisition.
  • Become a trusted advisor within your customer and prospect accounts to understand their business processes and identify their needs.
  • Maintain forecast, customer, and prospect information with detail and to a high degree of accuracy on our CRM system.
  • Coordinate with other departments to prepare complex proposals and articulate those proposals to senior stakeholders within the customers' organizations.
Requirements:
  • Strong B2B sales background from a related field or IT, software, or tech.
  • Confident and persuasive with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Able to demonstrate a strong background in solution-based sales or enterprise software sales.
  • Have a successful track record on developing new business and opening new accounts.
  • Sales-oriented and energized by a targeted environment.
  • Confident and able to build strategic relationships at an Executive and Senior management level while engaging tactically within departmental groups.
  • Have the required skills to understand business processes and articulate the business and financial value new solutions can bring to a company.
  • Have excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • High organizational skills, extremely disciplined with time-management, and possesses a strong work ethic.
  • First-rate interpersonal skills and an approachable nature.
  • The determination to succeed and reach goals (set by the manager and by themselves).
  • Strong, driven mentality - a self-starter.
