Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and diverse primary school in Northampton. In this role, you will provide 1:1 support for children with SEMH and ASC needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for children with SEMH and ASC needs
  • Work in a well-resourced EYFS environment with excellent facilities
  • Support the development of children's skills and abilities
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment

Requirements

  • At least 6 months experience with SEN children in an educational setting
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Patience and empathy in challenging situations
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the update service
