About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at beBee Professionals in Buckley, United Kingdom. As the second-in-command, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menu plans and food preparation strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during service and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard, presented attractively, and delivered on time.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and company standards.
  • Assist in training and developing junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and minimizing waste.
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, making informed decisions to maintain kitchen operations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong track record of kitchen management and team leadership.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations, kitchen hygiene, and health and safety protocols.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients, with a focus on presentation and flavor.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher) and any other relevant certifications or qualifications.
