About the Role
The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their rehabilitation needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to enable patients to achieve their maximum level of independence and function.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
- Develop and implement individual and group treatment programs, using evidence-based practices and graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals.
- Monitor and evaluate treatment progress, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Liaise with patients, relatives, and carers to achieve treatment goals and provide education on safe use of equipment.
- Refer patients to re-ablement teams, community therapy teams, and other relevant services as needed.
- Manage clinical risk within your patient caseload and communicate effectively with team members.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
- Experience in rehabilitation of physical conditions and a CPD portfolio with evidence of IST and reflective learning.
- Knowledge of a range of physical disabilities and competent written and IT skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and understanding of clinical governance and its implications on quality and audit.
- Clean driving license.
