Job Description:

Role Overview:

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated SEND Support Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about providing support to students with special educational needs and disabilities.

About the School:

The school is a large Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) institution that supports approximately 180 students aged 7 to 16. It provides both Primary and Secondary education and offers a supportive learning environment with small classes and a dedicated team of teachers and teaching assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the classroom teacher and other staff members to ensure the curriculum is accessible to meet the individual needs of each student.
  2. Work closely with the school's SENCO to deliver the SEND provision.
  3. Utilize various teaching methods to present engaging lessons and CPD sessions.
  4. Be an advocate and inspirational leader within the classroom and wider whole-school responsibilities.
  5. Provide support to pupils with SEND and differentiate within the mainstream classroom.

Requirements:

Team Teach Qualified desired, SEND/SEMH training qualifications also beneficial.
