**Job Overview:** We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer - Electrical Design to join our team at First Recruitment Group in Workington. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing bespoke electrical systems for nuclear operations, working closely with our client to deliver complex projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, with experience working on projects involving remote handling equipment, robotic systems, and tooling for nuclear operations. You will be responsible for conducting technical calculations, preparing critical product safety documentation, and supporting the build, installation, and commissioning of plant equipment and inactive test rigs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design and develop bespoke electrical systems for nuclear operations.
  • Conduct and document detailed technical and design calculations.
  • Prepare critical product safety documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and maintenance manuals.
  • Support the build, installation, and commissioning of plant equipment and inactive test rigs.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
  • Experience with 2D CAD design packages, ideally AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of safety legislation, quality standards, and CE/UKCA marking requirements.

**Salary:** £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
