We are seeking a highly skilled Power Project Engineer to join our team at Tempest Jones Recruitment.

About the Company

Our client is a leading consultancy who provide professional engineering and planning services to the power sector. They are instrumental in helping support the UK with its transition to net zero.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a member of the geotechnical department's design team, you will report to a Principal Geotechnical Engineer and collaborate within a project team to deliver projects that meet exacting standards.
  • You will be responsible for managing projects from the initial desk study phase through ground model development, site investigation, ground model refinement, and foundation design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering, geology, geotechnical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in geotechnical or civil engineering, preferably within a consultancy environment.
  • Ideally a member of a professional institution and working towards chartership with ICE or GSL.
  • Enthusiastic and flexible approach to work.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is approximately £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a competitive benefit package.
