About the Role

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations and preparing detailed reports for clients. You will also perform slope stability analyses, settlement calculations, and other related assessments.

You will have the opportunity to develop and implement geotechnical designs for various infrastructure projects and collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and project managers to deliver successful projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from the initial desk study phase through ground model development, site investigation, ground model refinement, and foundation design.
  • Conduct geotechnical investigations and prepare detailed reports for clients.
  • Perform slope stability analyses, settlement calculations, and other related assessments.
  • Develop and implement geotechnical designs for various infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and project managers to deliver successful projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering, geology, geotechnical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in geotechnical or civil engineering, preferably within a consultancy environment.
  • Ideally a member of a professional institution and working towards chartership with ICE or GSL.
  • Enthusiastic and flexible approach to work.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary and Benefits

A competitive salary of £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, is offered to attract top talent. You will also have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects, including the planning, design, and delivery of major power projects.

The company offers a range of benefits, including a hybrid work arrangement (2 days remote, 3 days in the office), support for chartership if desired, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
