Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, assisting with their educational and personal development.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Work closely with colleagues and external professionals to implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
  • Provide intimate care and nappy changing support to students as needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are desirable but not essential.
