SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Reception Class

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary school in Havering. The successful candidate will have experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia, and will be able to provide one-on-one support to students with SEN.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with SEN in their educational and personal development.
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to individual student needs.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience in a mainstream school.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
