Project Engineer - Aerospace

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team at Nicholas Associates. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects from customer brief to delivery, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion
  • Create manufacturing route cards to optimize production methods
  • Liaise with internal departments and external resources to ensure project success
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of precision engineering processes, including CNC machining, manual machining, and metal fabrication techniques
  • Utilize Office software, particularly Excel, Word, and Project, to manage projects and communicate with stakeholders
  • Work independently and use initiative to drive project progress
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and methodical approach to tasks

Requirements:

  • Qualified to HNC level or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Competence in Office software, particularly Excel, Word, and Project
  • Good working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • Ability to read manufacturing drawings and specifications
  • Capable of working unsupervised and using own initiative
  • Good eye for detail with a methodical approach to tasks

What We Offer:

  • Up to £50,000 salary (dependent on experience)
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8am to 16:45pm and Friday 8am to 12:30pm
  • 33 days holiday, Christmas shutdown, 7.5% pension, and four times salary death in service

Location: Derby
