Estimator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at MWH Treatment in Peterborough, with hybrid working available. As an Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of multiple projects within our Integrated Main Works Framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide CAPEX estimates for various project stages, from high-level comparative estimates to detailed bottom-up estimates.
  • Work closely with multi-discipline teams to understand and quantify scope, and liaise with our supply chain to develop estimates for specific items of scope.
  • Review estimating systems and identify best practices, advising on efficiencies and developing cost models for digital delivery and standardization.
  • Maintain cost bases, add quotations to the estimating database, and revise labour, plant, and material resource libraries as needed.
  • Work closely with Cost Managers to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to cost management, and become familiar with cost capture requirements.

As we navigate the Water industry's exciting and challenging period, it is essential that our commercial and cost management processes remain industry-leading to deliver and outperform against our objectives and customer expectations.
