Quality Assurance Specialist Role

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards in product inspections throughout the Submarine build process. This role is perfect for a skilled Quality professional with initiative, capable of working independently and supporting junior team members within their expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspection & Quality Assurance: Perform detailed inspections according to inspection and test plans across various areas, including Dimensional Control, Electrical, Paint, Mechanical, Weld Inspection, and more.
  • Guidance & Mentorship: Provide guidance to less experienced team members, ensuring quality standards are understood and met.
  • Process Adherence: Follow established quality processes and procedures, contributing updates as necessary.
  • Independent Inspection: Conduct routine inspections autonomously and manage more complex activities with minimal oversight.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong working relationships across BAE Systems Submarine Division, representing Quality in cross-departmental and customer interactions.
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct customer audits and walkthroughs, acting as a quality representative in local reviews.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Report inspection results using structured processes, contribute to team meetings, and assist with report writing and presentations.
