This is a field-based role that requires a passionate and experienced Chemotherapy Nurse to deliver holistic care to patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake clinical assessments of patients' needs and provide training on safe self-medication.
  • Conduct home visits to ensure patients' home environments are safe and secure for IV oncology treatment.
  • Administer IV oncology medications and provide ongoing support to patients through telephone, clinic-based, and home visits.
  • Assess patients' home environments to ensure they are suitable for home IV oncology treatment.
  • Complete line care for all IV oncology patients and change dressings as needed.
  • Administer all IV oncology medications for patients undergoing IV cancer treatment.
  • Check blood results and make decisions on whether critical levels are within safe parameters to continue with treatment.
Requirements:
  • RGN Part 1 NMC Register.
  • Chemotherapy delivery qualification.
  • Experience in administering oncology medication in a hospital or community environment.
  • Experience of undertaking clinical assessments and administering sub-cutaneous injections.
  • Experience in the care of IV devices and administration of IV therapies.
