Job Description

CK Group is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Chemotherapy Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our pharmaceutical and life sciences company, you will play a vital role in delivering holistic care to patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Assessment: Conduct thorough clinical assessments of patients' needs to ensure the best possible care.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to patients and their caregivers to ensure safe self-medication of oncology medications.
  • Home Visits: Conduct home visits to assess patients' home environments and ensure they are safe and suitable for home IV oncology treatment.
  • Line Care: Complete line care for all IV oncology patients, ensuring lines are clean and clear.
  • Medication Administration: Administer all IV Oncology medications for patients undergoing IV cancer treatment.
  • Blood Transfusions: Complete blood transfusions with patients or arrange for a suitably qualified nurse to visit patients to deliver transfusions.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: RGN part 1 NMC Register and Chemotherapy delivery qualification.
  • Experience: Experience in administering oncology medication, either in hospital or community environment.
  • Clinical Skills: Clinical assessment, administering I.V. injections, administering chemotherapy, cannulation, and phlebotomy skills.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of therapies relevant to service offering, including NHS knowledge relating to the management of patients with treated conditions.
