Join Our Team as a Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a passionate and committed teaching assistant to join our team in Bury St Edmunds. As a dedicated classroom assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and making a real difference in their lives.
About the Role:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, assisting with their educational and personal development.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
- Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment, promoting independence and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, preferably with SEN experience.
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are desirable but not essential.
