About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Content & Interpretation Editor to join our team at the National Galleries of Scotland. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our interpretation framework, ensuring that our online and in-gallery content meets the highest standards.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and edit interpretive text for exhibitions and other content types, working closely with curators and project managers.
  • Chair the interpretation editorial panel and manage the editorial schedule, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
  • Edit a range of content types, including audio and video scripts, for various projects, including major capital projects and exhibitions.
  • Manage the interpretation editorial pool, providing direction, training, and communication to ensure a high standard of work.
  • Liaise with colleagues across departments to implement our interpretation principles and strategy effectively.
About Our Salary

The salary for this role is £45,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits, including a generous pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.
