Procurement Operations Specialist

Round Peg Solutions is seeking an experienced Procurement Operations Specialist to join their team following a period of high growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for timely order placement and management of supplier delivery performance in line with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure delivery in line with operational performance requirements with an allocated supplier portfolio.
  • Prepare and place purchase orders for a allocated supplier portfolio.
  • Analyse MRP output and identify/tracking where system changes occur that impact supply base, to implement corrective actions and obtain accurate demand signals.
  • Align and schedule suppliers in line with MPS.
  • Maintain material master supplier data within ERP/MRP.
  • Support the optimisation of inventory, by deferring early order signals and expediting late order signals, to achieve OTIF.
  • Adhere to standard work tools; manage supplier order books, ensuring continuity of supply in line with business needs.
  • Maintain supplier promise dates to ensure that the most up-to-date and accurate information is obtained from the supplier and available in the system, to aid with Material in Forecasting.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' procurement experience.
  • Supplier relationship management experience.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and planning skills.
  • Proactive and 'can do' approach.
