Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Engineering Director to lead a team of skilled engineers in the development of energy-efficient GaN-based power devices. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Analog IC Design and experience in technical management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full life cycle of R&D projects, from concept to product release.
  • Lead a team of circa 10-15 engineers in technology and product design, with a focus on IC and packaging design.
  • Develop new products and meet cost and performance targets for semiconductor device development at the forefront of GaN device R&D.
  • Conduct feasibility studies of novel GaN IC features and product concepts for novel GaN power products entering the market.

Requirements:

  • Industry degree qualified with a strong track record in developing ICs for mass production.
  • Experience in project management with the ability to inspire confidence in teams, colleagues, partners, and customers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Location: This role is based at the company's design centre in Cambridge, UK, with some travel required from time to time.
