Job Title: Estimator - Roofing & Cladding Systems

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Mitchell Maguire, a specialist Construction Recruitment Consultancy.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in estimating for roofing and cladding systems, with experience in dealing with various industrial and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing tender enquiries and specifications to gain an understanding of project requirements
  • Liaising with clients to acquire any additional information required
  • Liaising with suppliers and manufactures to obtain competitive prices
  • Producing formal quotations to clients
  • Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors
  • Prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are met
  • Estimating for projects ranging in value from £5k to £2m

Requirements:

  • Must have estimating experience within the roofing and cladding market sector
  • Experience dealing with twin-skin / built-up systems, composite panels systems, standing seam systems, GRP systems, fibre cement systems, laminated boards, and aluminium rainscreen systems
  • Must have a good understanding of technical drawings
  • Full UK driving license
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • High levels of organisation and attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic, team player, who works well individually also
