About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Work Specialist to join our High Needs team at Hull City Council.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Specialist Mental Health and Learning Disability Commissioner to plan, prepare, and deliver bespoke services for individuals with complex needs.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that these services continue to meet the needs of our service users and are delivered in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist social work services to individuals with complex needs, including assessment, planning, and case management.
  • Work collaboratively with the Specialist Mental Health and Learning Disability Commissioner to develop and deliver bespoke services.
  • Ensure that services are delivered in a way that promotes the well-being and safety of service users.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a range of partners, including mental health providers and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Hold a professional social work qualification registered with Social Work England.
  • Have experience of assessment and planning, initiating, monitoring, developing, and providing outcomes-driven services in adult social care.
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong value base that informs your work with adults.
  • Be able to establish professional, effective working relationships with a range of partners, colleagues, adults, families, and their carers.
