Job Summary:

This is a temporary role for a Prison Security Escort at HMP Grendon / Springhill. As a member of the security team, you will work alongside the prison service to assist our client in maintaining the buildings. Your duties will include escorting and overseeing contractors, such as carpenters, plumbers, and electricians, while they complete their maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify the identification of contractors
  • Ensure contractors are briefed on security measures
  • Book in and out of contractors
  • Create a tool list
  • Escort contractors through the prison to their place of work
  • Oversee contractors while they are working
  • Verify contractor tools are accounted for prior to leaving the work area
  • Use the radio to request permission to move contractors within the prison

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Safety-conscious
  • Residency in the UK for the past 3+ years
  • Ability to pass security vetting, including providing references and passing security police checks
