Salary: £23,000 per annum, depending on experience, with bonus opportunities
About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join our established Finance team in Dudley. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, collecting debts, and achieving agreed collection targets.
Key Responsibilities:- Debt management and collection of customer accounts
- Responsible for own section of ledger
- Achievement of agreed collection targets
- Provide reports on performance of accounts
- Control and monitor the daily debt
- Monitor cash allocation and propose corrective action on allocated accounts where needed
- Ensure correct procedures and processes are in place as per credit policy established to chase payments from customers on a regular basis
- Escalate serious issues to Team Leader or the Credit Manager
- Ensure all daily tasks are achieved, including unallocated cash, taking accounts off dispute, and chasing customers when promise to pay date fails to result in payment
- Ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times
- Manage a high-level workload and pick up any ad-hoc projects to support the department
- Ensure all Business Operational Manager queries are resolved within agreed timeframes
- Ensure all Client queries are resolved within agreed timeframes
- Perform other general administrative duties associated with the Finance Shared Service Centre
- Develop effective regular communication links with stakeholders
- Accountable for delivering against own role description
- Take ownership of targets and objectives
To be considered for the Credit Controller position, you will ideally have the following:
- 2+ years of experience in Credit Control
- Experience managing your own ledger of accounts
- Familiarity with MS Office 365 formulas, formatting, and sorting
- Previous call-handling experience
- Ability to follow the Hybrid working structure

Our Finance team comes from a range of different backgrounds, but most of our Credit Controllers have previously worked as Payroll Specialists, Finance Administrators, Administrators, Customer Service Administrators, Payroll Assistants, or have administrative experience within a Finance Department.
