About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Pets at Home Group Plc. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Pet Care Centre, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of retail professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for the store in the absence of the Deputy or Store Manager
  • Lead from the front with a hands-on approach, inspiring your team to deliver high standards and great results
  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of retail professionals to achieve sales and performance targets
  • Manage stock control, store standards, and customer service to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Work collaboratively with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives and drive sales growth

Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months hands-on supervisory/management experience in the retail sector
  • Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Passionate about retail and customer service, with a proven track record of delivering high standards and great results
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
