Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Pets at Home Group Plc. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Pet Care Centre, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of retail professionals.

About the Role:
  • Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the store, including stock control, recruitment, and store standards.
  • You will be a Duty Manager and take full responsibility for the store in the absence of the Deputy or Store Manager.
  • You will lead from the front with a hands-on approach, inspiring your team to deliver exceptional customer service and maximize sales and performance across all primary KPIs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 6 months hands-on supervisory/management experience in the retail sector.
  • Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Passionate about retail and committed to delivering high standards and great results.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire a team.
  • Willingness to undertake 6 months of industry-leading training covering all aspects of the role, including customer service, health and safety, and pet care.
