Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Emponics is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their expanding Painting division in Tonbridge/Maidstone, Kent. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the successful delivery of painting contracts, ensuring customer satisfaction while controlling costs and profit for the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare cost estimates for contracts and tenders, highlighting any risks and opportunities.
  2. Manage the pricing of tenders to maximise business wins and profitability.
  3. Prepare cost value reconciliations for contracts, identifying commercial risks and opportunities to ensure correct contract planning.
  4. Work closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure productivity targets are agreed and issued before contract start, including direct labour incentives and sub-contractor management.
  5. Build strong client relations to ensure any variations and progress of contracts are discussed.
