Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Technical Designer. As a key member of our content creation team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing content of varying types for Old School RuneScape.

About the Role
  • You will take the lead on design for full projects of any complexity, delivering a design that fits our goals, lays strong technical foundations and unites your peers behind it.
  • You will coordinate and contribute to the implementation of game content using our in-house scripting language, RuneScript. You will be provided with full training in RuneScript as required.
  • You will work closely with the lead technical designer to ensure the technical standards of content are both technically sound and efficient.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual who possesses:

  • A strong background in technical experience with scripting or programming. This will be required to get to grips with our in-house scripting language, RuneScript.
  • Strong experience of LUA, Python or similar scripting language.
  • An ability to guide, mentor and inspire other creative people.
  • A passion for games and a desire to break down designs and discuss with others.
  • Experience working in a game design or development team and can demonstrate an understanding of game development processes such that you can guide improvements to our own development environment.
