We are seeking a skilled Public Health Protection Officer to join our team on a long-term temporary basis. This exciting opportunity is available for immediate start and is placed within the public sector.

The primary function of this role is to support the Environmental Health Team with food hygiene inspections in the district, alongside other statutory functions undertaken by the Food Safety Team. These responsibilities include meeting the requirements of the Food Law Code of Practice qualification.

This position plays a key role in helping our client achieve their goals while making a significant impact on the community. We are looking for an individual with demonstrable knowledge, experience, and expertise in relevant Health & Safety legislation and best practices.

Key requirements for this role include:

  • Demonstrable knowledge, experience, and expertise in relation to relevant Health & Safety legislation and best practices.
  • Relevant Health & Safety Enforcement experience.
  • Relevant experience in a Corporate Health & Safety role, e.g., Safety Officer.
  • Experience with MS Office Systems, e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A relevant Environmental Health related qualification and EHORB (Environmental Health Officers Registration Board) registration OR
  • NEBOSH General, Fire & Environmental Certificate.

Additional qualifications include IOSH Health and Safety 'Managing Safely' qualified, Root Cause Analysis trained, Risk Assessment trained, experience in event safety, and Health & Safety Authorisations. Experience with m3 software is also beneficial.

Salary: £45,000 per annum.
