Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Store Manager to join our team at Lidl. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of store colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager, taking ownership of the store and leading by example to support your colleagues.
  • Lead and inspire the team to fulfill their potential every day, using our Leadership & Company Principles to drive performance and excellence.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the store is operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to develop and implement store strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Manage cash processes, monitor stock integrity, and ensure the store is maintained to a high standard.

Requirements:

  • Experience leading and developing a team in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues.
  • A strong understanding of retail operations, including stock management, cash handling, and customer service.
  • The ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team to achieve business objectives.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.
