Principal Mechanical Engineer

Join our team of experienced engineers as a Principal Mechanical Engineer, responsible for leading design-oriented tasks across a product lifecycle in a production and/or prototype environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Present design concepts, technical reports, and specifications to stakeholders
- Work in a hands-on mechanical background or interpret design plans
- Manage internal and external design reviews and meetings with the customer
- Act as the key point of contact with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders on engineering solutions
- Innovate new ways to streamline and deliver submarines quicker while maintaining cost, quality, and safety
Requirements:
- Experience leading design-oriented tasks across a product lifecycle in a production and/or prototype environment
- Experience presenting design concepts, technical reports, and specifications to stakeholders
- Experience working in a hands-on mechanical background or interpreting design plans

About the Team:
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will be working within Ocean Interfaces as part of the delivery team within SSNA. The team rises to the global challenges and delivers design solutions for deployable assets on the future attack nuclear submarine. We design, procure, and manufacture solutions by working closely with our customers and suppliers.
