About the Role

Halter is revolutionizing the way farmers manage their land and animals, unlocking more productive and sustainable uses of the world's agricultural land while driving optimal profitability outcomes.

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our Mid Canterbury expansion. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for equipping farms with Halter technology that will transform the way they farm to become leaders in productivity and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive business growth and revenue expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, industry partners, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and tactics.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the agricultural industry, including farming practices, technologies, and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and customer satisfaction.
