Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Social Services Case Manager III to join our team in the Commonwealth of Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying a caseload consisting of In-Home and On-Notices cases, conducting risk assessments, developing service plans, and providing direct intervention and service delivery for difficult, complex social work cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in Family Team Meetings and identify safety concerns
  • Develop goals and activities to meet those goals and conduct risk re-assessments as needed
  • Prepare and submit budget sheets to ensure timely service delivery to families
  • Interpret laws, policies, and regulations related to human services program areas
  • Complete necessary federal, state, and local planning and reporting requirements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or a bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of two years of experience in a Human Services area. Considerable knowledge of social work principles and practices, human behaviors, and motivational theory is also required.

You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interview, assess needs, counsel, and refer clients to other resources as needed. Additionally, you must be able to testify in court proceedings, develop and present training programs, and interpret program laws, policies, and regulations.

Working Conditions

This position requires working in stressful situations and maintaining diplomacy while establishing and maintaining effective relationships with others. You must also be willing to work outside normal working hours, including being on-call for emergencies, and possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience.
