Supporting Academic Excellence as a Teaching Assistant (Apprentice)

The Leigh UTC and Inspiration Academy is seeking a motivated and engaging individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant (Apprentice), starting from September 2024. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the development of our pupils, who have a range of specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in delivering academic excellence, providing a comprehensive support service to the Academy.
  • Support students with their educational and social development, on an individual and group basis.
  • Provide expertise to deliver a personalised curriculum for each pupil's learning.
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with students, treating them with respect and consideration.
  • Assist teachers with the maintenance of student records.
Apprenticeship Details:
  • Annual wage: £11,805 per annum (£13,725 full-time equivalent)
  • Working weeks: Monday - Friday, Term Time + 1 week inset
  • Total hours per week: 37 (including the 20% training element of the Apprenticeship)
  • Apprenticeship duration: 18 months approx.
  • Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level Apprenticeship (Level 3)
  • Apprenticeship standard: Teaching Assistant
