Geography Teacher Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Geography teacher to join our team at a thriving secondary school in Avonmouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching KS3 and KS4 Geography curriculum, planning, marking, and assessing children's work and progress.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Develop and implement engaging Geography lessons that cater to the needs of all learners.
- Assess and provide feedback on student progress, using data to inform instruction and make adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive learning experience for students.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.

**Requirements**

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge and curriculum expertise in Geography.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in teaching and learning.
