About the Role
  • This position involves providing expert technical leadership and guidance to a small sub-team of engineers.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in circuit design, component selection, and PCB technology.

Salary: £62,500 per annum based on experience.

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid environment and have a deep understanding of power and signal transmission over wired media.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead projects from conception to completion, establishing and maintaining high standards of engineering practice.
  2. Offer specialist knowledge in EMC, power management, servo control, processor interfacing, and communications.
  3. Evaluate and refine departmental processes and practices.
  4. Engage regularly with senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.
  5. Provide technical direction for multi-disciplinary projects.
Requirements
  • Possess a strong degree in a relevant discipline accredited by the IET.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading or supervising projects and teams.
  • Comprehensive theoretical and practical understanding of electrical and electronic design principles.
  • Able to identify and assess key project risks, schedule mitigations, and prioritise critical design activities.
  • Broad knowledge of the entire project lifecycle.
