About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for leading the procurement process across our operations, ensuring that we achieve the best possible value for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Procurement Leadership: Manage the day-to-day operations of the procurement team, including line management of procurement specialists.
  2. Cost Reduction and Service Performance: Identify and deliver tangible results through cost reduction and service performance improvement.
  3. Procurement Strategy: Work with the Head of Financial Operations to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  4. Request for Proposal (RFP) Management: Review and assist with RFPs to ensure the best outcomes for our procurement efforts.
  5. Process Improvement: Regularly review procedures and processes to ensure control, compliance, and efficiency across the procurement function.
  6. Support and Expertise: Provide additional support and expertise to procurement specialists in respect of licensing renewals and managing external talent negotiations.
  7. Contract Renewals: Assist with high-value contract renewals, including the review of commercial terms and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Requirements
  1. Procurement Experience: Demonstrable experience and track record in leading successful procurement efforts, preferably with experience in managing a team.
  2. Broad Procurement Experience: Broad procurement experience with particular emphasis on indirect procurement.
Desirable Skills
  1. Tech Sector Experience: Experience of working in the tech sector, or games or entertainment industries.
  2. Software License Experience: Experience working with software licenses.
