SEN Learning Support Assistant

A dynamic and inclusive Secondary School in Barnet is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive and successful team.

This role will commence ASAP, providing support to pupils across KS3, KS4, and KS5 who require additional support due to various SEND/SEMH needs.

The ideal candidate for this role would possess excellent communication skills, a patient and empathetic approach, and a willingness to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized support to students with SEND/SEMH needs
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Developing and implementing strategies to support student engagement and motivation
  • Collaborating with other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
  • Patience, empathy, and a willingness to adapt to changing situations
  • Basic knowledge of SEND/SEMH needs and strategies
